Carolina Fur Dressing is one of the largest, most modern taxidermy tanning facilities in the world and fully capable of handling your tanning needs. What started out in 1980 as a small tannery in a downtown Raleigh warehouse has grown to a near ten acre site with nearly 80,000 square feet of production floor. All services are completed in house.

A brief history of Carolina Fur Dressing
Carolina Fur Dressing was founded in 1980 by Rick Morgan with the help and experience of Sinclair Clark. Prior to that time, Rick was a large mammal taxidermist employed by Dick Idol's Taxidermy International. When Dick decided to move to Montana and pursue other interests, the Taxidermy Company was purchased and managed by Rick.
No longer willing to wait ten to twelve months for tanning orders from the west coast, Rick then started Carolina Fur Dressing. What started out in 1980 as a small tannery in a downtown Raleigh warehouse has grown to a near ten acre site with nearly 80,000 square feet of production floor.
Carolina Fur Dressing is to this day solely owned by Rick and Marsha Morgan, who both continue to work there full time.
